This community college has the longest history of all the Los Angeles area junior colleges. The school offers online classes, on campus courses, and those that are a mix between the two, making it a very convenient school for working college students.

As a Los Angeles community college that primarily focuses on preparing its students for the competitive job market, the school catalog reflects that the degree programs include automotive collision repair, refrigeration & air conditioning mechanics, and registered nursing. Occupational certificates are also available in subjects such as electronics communication, fashion fabricate and mortgage financing. Residents pay $20 per unit, while non residents pay $173.

This community college offers associate degrees in 34 courses of study, while also offering certificates of completion in 47 programs.
